Free Children’s Creative Army Workshop

Get parade-ready at this fun and hands-on creative workshop for kids!
Create your own wearable armour costume to take home – and if you'd like, bring it back on Sunday to join the Fun Day Opening Parade in style. Participants will paint their own stencilled crest on fabric, have crafting fun and practice marching in formation - just in time to take part in the ‘Bandon Through the Ages’ Parade.
Led by local artist, Deirdre Pattwell, this workshop encourages imagination, teamwork and a love of history through play. All materials are provided.

Bells of St. Peter's -
A Living Tradition

St. Peter's Church
Join the Ballymodan Bellringing Society at St. Peter's Church for a fascinating introduction to the history and working of the church bells and the unique art of bell ringing.
Enjoy a short illustrated talk, discover how the bells operate and experience a live bell-ringing demonstration from the tower.
This is a rare opportunity to explore one of Bandon's oldest living traditions and learn how you could become part of the local band of ringers.

Access to the bell tower is via two fixed ladders and may not be suitable for, or comfortable for everyone.
